Hi, I'm Liv.
I'm a jewellery designer, printmaker and photographer based in the South Coast of England.
I also teach Art to kids aged 8-13 and take group workshops.
Being active and outdoors plays a huge part in influencing my creative practice. I live by the sea just outside of Bournemouth, where we have the beautiful rugged forests, endless beaches and the Jurassic Coastline on our doorstep.
With a background in contemporary crafts and a PGCE in Secondary Art and Design, my creativity manifests itself through making jewellery and teaching workshops to seeking a quieter, slower paced life enjoying the outdoors and taking photographs.
My ethos behind my work is to celebrate the everyday.
Being able to wear a piece of jewellery 24/7, whether up a mountain, at a friend's BBQ or surfing in waves is what my designs are about. I take inspiration from natural everyday occurrences. Being a lover of the sea and of being in fresh air means I am usually drawn to making pieces that fit in with that life style. I love working with clean lines and natural colour palettes whilst also making work with subtle details.
Every piece you buy will have been made by hand in my home based studio in Dorset

workshops
a growing part of thecoastal_workshop are our cafe and home based workshops
learning something new should be in an environment where you feel able to just come along and have a go. we aim to give you that experience and teach you the steps to make a piece of jewellery for yourself or for a loved one. our workshops are always a safe, welcoming and fun environment shared with other like-minded people.
prices will be kept to cover costs for materials, the space and the time but kept fair and as accessible as possible.
